Texting Campaign Registration Update January 2025

This article discusses important regulation of texting traffic related to The Campaign Registry.  To learn more about this issue, please read our Texting Campaign Registration article.

The Campaign Registry (“TCR”) has attempted to roll out firm enforcement of their registry since launching it in late 2021.  Up until now, TCR has required all users to submit registrations, but enforcement has been spotty, giving the impression that registration was not required or was only having a partial impact on texting activities.

TCR recently announced that February 1, 2025, is a firm date that all requirements for TCR will be enforced.  RingRx suggests that all customers who engage in texting and have not filled out TCR registration do so prior to this date.  Please allow plenty of time, as TCR reviews each application prior to approval and there are some requirements that customers may have to complete prior to approval.  You can complete registration within your RingRx portal, here.  If TCR does indeed start full enforcement, any customer that has not been registered will experience failed texts to cell phone numbers.

RingRx is not in favor of TCR and believes it puts an undo burden on our customers.  Regardless, the industry has implemented these rules and we have no ability to circumvent them.
