Porting from Google Voice

Porting a number from Google Voice to RingRx is very easy.  The process is quicker than with most carriers.  As long as we get correct information and you follow the steps below, you can expect the port to complete within 3-5 business days, possibly even faster.

  1. Read Google’s support article on porting Google Voice numbers here (if the link does not come up, just go to a Google search bar and search for “Port Google Voice Number”) and go to the section titled “Port your Google Voice number out to another carrier”
  2. First, you must Unlock your Google Voice number, which is outlined in the article above
  3. Google Voice will require a fee to unlock or port out the number, which must be completed prior to initiating the port.
  4. Follow the instructions on the RingRx porting support page here
  5. It is a good idea to familiarize your self with Google Voice’s support article above in case any issues arise when you are completing our port form or something does not work as expected.
