General Account Global Settings
Account Global Settings are settings that pertain to the entirety of the Account. Many of these values are created when your account is first setup. Most, but not all of them, can be changed by an account administrator. Some can only be changed by a RingRx support representative.
Name: This is the company name you would like to list as a customer. Generally this does not change, but if necessary it can be changed by a RingRx support representative.
Domain: This is a URL we assign to the customer and is based on the name. The Domain creates a unique within our platform where your system is designed and managed, and where all of the data associated with your account is maintained. Once created, this can never be changed.
Email: This is the main email address of the account. This can be changed by a RingRx support representative
Timezone: This is your main company’s time zone. This is used for all time parameters used on your account.
Default Caller ID: The phone number that will appear to people you call. This can only be a valid number that exists on your account.
Default Caller ID Name: This is caller ID name that will appear when you place an outbound call. For more information on Caller ID Name, please see https://support.ringrx.com/knowledge-base/caller-id-name-or-cnam/
Music On Hold: Default music on hold is called “Will Never Sleep”. RingRx offers some alternatives and if you prefer you can use your own. To use your own, you first need a music file in either .mp3 or .wav format. Then upload to Media Files library. Once its uploaded, you will see the file in the Music on Hold dropdown.
Operator Extension: This is a default extension for transferring certain calls to a default “Operator”. Normally this is not required so unless you have a planned Operator need, it should be left blank.
Fax Extension: A default extension that you expect to be added to all new Users you plan to create at some point. If you have one Fax service that everyone shares, then you can select that here and when any new User is created, they will automatically be given access.
SMS Enable Default: A default setting that enables SMS when any new user is created. This would not assign them a phone number, so if they expect to be texting with outside numbers, that would have to be set up separately
