Signing up for a Free Trial
Answers to questions you may have about the Free Trial after you fill out the form.
When can I start using the Free Trial?
Within 2 hours if you submit your request during office hours (9am-5pm Monday through Friday) or after we open the following business day.
We do not process Free Trial requests after hours or on weekends.
We get to work setting up your account right away and we let you know when its ready. During normal office hours (9am-5pm Monday through Friday Pacific Standard Time) you should expect us to have your account ready within two hours. Sometimes it can take a bit longer, so please be patient. If you have not received it within 4 hours (during office hours), feel free to contact us by opening a support ticket
Why can't I create an account immediately?
RingRx is built for healthcare companies. We require some time to validate your company details and identity to ensure our platform is used for appropriate business purposes. We regret the delay, but it is imperative to ensure the integrity of our service.
What is the Free Trial For?
Unlike most other communications companies, RingRx offers a free trial so you can test out the features that are most important to you to make sure we are the right service for your needs. We want you to be happy, so the last thing we want is for you to sign up for a long contract only to realize something does not work the way you expect. It is not intended as a substitute for your primary phone service. You can indeed do that, but there are some limitations.
The Free Trial is intended for testing only:
- Download the mobile app and log in
- Make some test calls, faxes, and texts
- Setup some call routing configurations like Menus, Ring Groups, and
- Setup a voicemail greeting, leave some voicemails and play them back
- Log into the portal, get used to the interface
- Add some other Users to practice transferring and extension dialing
And there is much more – if you are unsure what to do next, feel free to browse through our support articles, or reach out to our support team for assistance. Just click the Contact Support button at the top of this page.
Texting during your Free Trial
Texting is generally not available to cell phones during your trial. This is becaue of a new requirement imposed by cell phone carriers on business texting services like RingRx. They require you to complete a registration with their organization, known as The Campaign Registry, or TCR. This regulation lets them control who and what kinds of messaging the cellular network is used for. You can learn more about TCR requirement here. You can text between Users on the same account - we recommend this as a way to experience the texting feature during your trial.
Porting during the Trial
If you have an existing number at another service, you are free to start porting that number into RingRx anytime during your trial. The trial and the porting process are not linked – so plan accordingly and keep an eye on the expiration of your trial. We do not extend trials to coincide with porting.
Add Users
If you are the only person on the team, then you can skip this, of course. But if yout want to test out features like call routing, transferring, extension dialing, etc, you will be best served by adding one or two other people. In general we recommend approaching this like a test and not adding more than 5 Users during the trial. If you have a reason to do so, that is fine. But remember, this is a test, its not a substitute for your existing service… To add Users you can do it yourself or ask our support team to help, just go here for steps
If you want to sign up right away
If you want to skip the trial and sign up right away, that is fine. Just add a card to your account in the billing section and your account will be considered "permanent" and fully active. You will still receive your Free Trial days and we will not charge you til the 14 day trial period is over.
Cancelling your Trial
If you choose not to continue after your Trial, you do not need to cancel your account. It will cancel automatically after the 14 day period if you do not add a card. We do not ask for a credit card in order to start a trial, so you will never be charged if you decide not to continue. If you choose to do so anyway, please go here. If you just want to stop getting emails, click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.
